That is perfectly fine by us. We know how busy people are, and we are just grateful for your support. We can sort stamps like this, no problem. We have even had bags of stamps on full envelopes. That however is very expensive for you to send and harder for us to process. We can no longer accept stamps in this way due to lack of storage.
Stamps arrive in many forms, mainly in what we call rough trim state, just like those pictured to the left. These are stamps that have been removed along with the paper backing, but no trimming has been done. It is important though to ensure that the stamps are not damaged. Never try to peel stamps off the paper. They damage easily and are then worthless.
Some collectors do trim the stamps, and though this is not essential, we do appreciate your help. If you trim, please make sure you leave 4 or 5 mm clear paper round the stamps to avoid damage. This also makes it better for us to handle and process.
All the stamps we receive are first of all sorted to remove damaged items. Then they are sorted again into world stamps, and British stamps.At this stage they are quality checked again.The world stamps are sorted into on- paper and off- paper. The on paper stamps are sold by weight and the off paper are sold by number or country of origin. The GBs are sorted into franked or unfranked. Franked are sold by weight and the unfranked are sold in packs of 100.or as a selection.
Almost all the stamps are sold on e-bay, but we do have some regular customers who buy direct from us. All that we sell are fully described, and we sought the advice of the post office on how we should best sell them without breaking any rules. We followed that advice to the letter.We have never had a single complaint in the time we have been doing this.
Finaly, the stamps are packaged into lots, and sent out to buyers. This is normally by recorded delivery to ensure safe arrival. Our customers are mostly in the Uk, but we have shipped stamps to the majority of E.U countries and as far away as the United States. We even have a couple of collectors who send us stamps from Hong Kong and the USA.
